LA 43 kicked off the year with orientation and an overnight retreat held at the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly in Black Mountain. Classes during the fall focused on history, equity and inclusion, economic development and government. During the remainder of the year we’ll cover health and human services, education, arts and culture and sustainability. During the entire course class members will hear from more than 100 speakers and subject matter experts, go on 20 – 30 site visits, and work on small group projects learning about issues facing our community.
Our thanks go out to everyone who has or will contribute to class days throughout the year and to our LA 43 Sustaining Partner, Mission Health!
