LA 37 kicks off the year with orientation in September followed by a two night retreat later that month. History Day, Equity and Inclusion Day Day and Government Day will be the themes of the class in October, November, and December. In January, the class will focus on Education, followed by Economic development Day in February. The class will meet twice in March to learn about Health and Human Services and then spend a day discussing the Media and the lenses through which we begin to understand community issues. Infrastructure and Envionrment Day will be held in April and we will complete the year with an end of year retreat, followed by graduation in May. By the end of the year, the class will have met and heard from over 100 local leaders on these topics and had the chance to ask them questions about their areas of expertise.
